Albion Road, Edinburgh
The demolition of the former Par Scaffolding premises in Albion Road proved to be extremely difficult. The standard demolition work itself was of no problem to Forth Demolition and its expert team selected for the project. The Asbestos cement roofing panels where removed without incident, the steel porto-framed shed was cut and brought down with ease and the stone structure with a mutual boundary elevation being used as a perimeter wall was reduced and demolished without trouble. The largest problems came from the adjacent recording studio which required sound monitoring to ensure the demolition process did not interfere with their work.

Saltcoates Steading, Gullane
This contract came not without it own difficulties as the site access was extremely tight requiring massive amounts of care for the excavator to enter and for any of the vehicles entering or leaving the site compound. The structures one of stone construction and one of steel portal frame construction was to be demolished with the stone work to be recycled in this case crushed for on site reuse.

W. L. Gore, Livingston
The vast internal soft strip job under taken on behalf of Sir Robert McAlpine at the live Goretex factory operated by W.L Gore in Livingstone was both a large and complex contract with a very tight programme duration of 5-months. The site, remaining live during the works had to be partitioned to prevent access from the working factory not just to ensure the safety of the factory employees but to prevent nuisance dust from damaging the delicate manufacturing process. The contract entailed serious alterations to the internals of the structures including partial floor removals, staircase removals, major pipe and steelwork removals and alterations. The photographs demonstrate some of the areas clear by Forth Demolition a head of the refurbishment. Unfortunately photographs can never give the impact of the size of a contract of this nature.
